More holiday fun

Spied a version of this JibJab piece of fun on a former neighbor's Facebook news feed. Thanks, Wendy!

The boys were quite amused by the finished product. I think I had as much fun making it as I did watching it.

Make sure to hit the green play button, and keep an eye on Mason:

Christmas Card - 2009

This year, though, we got lucky on the first try. Brandy captured this photo during the only purposeful Christmas card shoot we attempted. It was similar in motif to one we used a few years ago, so we decided an every-other-year, brothers-walking-near-the-shore tradition should be born.

I was on vacation the week this was taken, so I rode my bike to Cataumet while Brandy drove the boys by car to meet up for a letterboxing adventure at the Red Brook Harbor Road conservation area. The intent was to meet at Twin Acres for ice cream (photos at the end of this set, along with some other pretty funny outtakes) on the way back, but I got there just as they had finished. It's just as well. I really didn't need the ice cream.

More current, Christmas-like photos have also been snapped. Happy Holidays to all!

My best shot of 2009

This shot was taken at Sally's Adventure Playground in Campbell Hall, NY, when the family accompanied me this past summer on one of my biweekly trips to the New York office. During our few days there, the kids spent much of the time in the hotel pool, but on our way out of town, we stopped at the playground for an hour. Brandy and I took turns on the camera, and we even let Mason turn the lens back on us.

For this shot, there were a number of outtakes with Mason half in the frame and others with only half a shadow, but this one was timed just right. It's now my desktop wallpaper, and is always a conversation starter whenever anyone is looking over my shoulder.

Some folks are now convinced I'm a Star Trek fan, though that was not my intent. I guess I'm simply developing a flare for shadow shots.
